This afternoon my GM caught me in the kitchen, guess what? i went in
there to ask for assistance to refill the food in cafeteria, all been
'whacked' by others. Nothing left for me!
U know i know kitchen is quite busy and noisy, thus i need to shout to tell chef i want food!!
My GM asked me: Jo, did you ever work in chinese restaurant or kitchen before? coz you are so expert as an aboyeur!
hahahaha....*laugh my arse off* he told me i should carry a ladle knocking on table, yell for food!
Seems i need to fire my food, place my order and pick up my food there!
for god sake, no one bother to check and ask for refill, but i do care, coz i wan piping hot food to be served!

he expediter takes the orders from the dining room and relays them
to the stations in the kitchen. This person also often puts the
finishing touches on the dish before it goes to the dining room. In some operations this task may be done by either the executive chef or the sous chef.
